Ashley Brown, Project Developer, joined the organization in 2018 and is primarily involved with CSDC’s turnkey development and direct lending programs. She is responsible for overall project development, including initial feasibility analysis, financial modeling, underwriting, predevelopment and site due diligence though project completion. Ashley also provides overall program and transactional support by analyzing costs, operations and forecast data to determine project viability for CSDC’s direct lending programs, and assists in preparing financing applications with prospective investors, lenders, and capital providers to fulfill CSDC’s mission.
Prior to joining CSDC, Ashley has had a varied career providing her with experience in the areas of school operations, non-profit management, and finance. She began as a teacher and transitioned to the position of Head of School for an award winning charter school organization. In this role, she focused on the business and strategy side of the education reform movement. Ashley has obtained more than $100 million in bond funding for school construction, renovation, and expansion projects.Ashley holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from Central Michigan University.
